KNPC owns and operates three refineries, namely Mina Al-Ahmadi (MAA), Mina Abdullah (MAB) and Shuaiba.
The three Refineries form an integrated refining complex, which gives the Company a high flexibility in exchanging products either to fulfil the demands of international clients or to maintain a continuous production in times of maintenance or unscheduled shutdowns.

The total capacity of the three refineries is 936,000 bpd. Part of production is marketed locally, whereas the majority of products are exported to international markets. Gas liquefaction capacity of MAA 4 gas processing units is 2,458 mmscfpd.

Being a clean source of energy, LPG is increasingly playing major role in Kuwait energy sector, and plans to increase production are already rolling. KNPC is assigned with a major task of handling all produced (by KOC or KNPC) or imported LPG amounts. Tank farms are needed to store the expected huge amounts.
